These are working arrangements between an employer and an employee. This would consist of the duties of both parties. The employer’s duties could be assigning work to the employee, ensuring equal treatment of the employees and inform employees about any issues regarding his/her employment. The employee’s duties would include performing work according to employer’s instructions, work to the best of their ability, and make full use of working time and protecting the employer’s property against damage, loss, destruction and misuse. They would also include express and implied terms which are obvious unrecorded rules that every employee should know and follow one of which could be not to steal from the employer. This contract should be given within eight weeks after starting the job and cannot be altered unless there is a mutual agreement to change them or the employee resigns. This can be very helpful in gaining committed employee co-operation because they have procedures that were set out for them which they agreed to and therefore must follow them.…

I think that three mile island should close because of dangers it brings. If Tmi would blow up the whole city would have to evacuate. One of the main goals of the U.S. labor relations system is to allow employees to negotiate their terms and conditions of employment with their employer as a group, instead of individually taking or leaving whatever their employer offers unilaterally. As a result, “the union at work is the union negotiating a contract.”1 Through the process of collective bargaining, employers and unions negotiate terms and conditions of employment, and put these terms into written contracts, also called collective bargaining agreements. In the United States these contracts are legally binding and typically last one to five years, with a three-year duration being the most common. U.S. union contracts usually include the following subjects:…

There were many forces that impacted our Intra-organizational bargaining. First we all had our individual perception on what was most important and what was least important. This had a lot to do with our personalities, attitudes, values and beliefs. For example, depending on our personalities, those who were shy didn’t get to fully express how they felt about their issue. On the other hand those in the bargaining unit who were out spoken would make it a point to not let up and fight for their concerns. Our bargaining unit had a variety of issues we wanted to push to get into the contract. We had to decide what we considered a must haves and what can be used as a bargaining chips. Discussions continued until we all had a good idea where our stance was as a bargaining unit with each issue. The end result of our intra-organization bargaining was difficult but successful. We were able to agree on what issues were most and least important to our bargaining members.…
