CONSTITUTION & BY – LAWS

COMPUTER SCIENCE AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

PREAMBLE
The purpose and aim of the Computer Science and Computer Technology Department is to provide academic and social opportunities to investigate the basis of computer technology and programming, to build up the confidence and skills of programming majors pursuing a successful career, and to create an inviting community for student programmers.
Article I: Name
The name of the organization is Computer Science and Computer Technology Department (herein, CSACT).
Article II: Purpose
CSACT is a purely non-profit organization whose purpose is to foster the skills and create an inviting community for student programmers.
Article III: Membership
Section 1
Membership is open to all students whose taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Associate in Computer Technology only.
Section 2
Membership can be obtained by registering during an organization meeting or during the duration of the school year.
Section 3
Members must be currently enrolled at AMA Computer College, General Santos City.
Article IV: Officers
Section 1
Qualifications:
1. Any person interested in holding a CSACT officer position must be a Computer Science and Computer Technology student.
2. The person must be an AMA student.
Section 2
The Main Officers comprise of seven (7) members:
1. President
2. Vice President
3. Secretary
4. Treasurer
5. Auditor
6. P.I.O
7. Business Manager
Article V: Officer Duties
Descriptions of the duties of the officer positions laid out in Article IV are listed here:
1. President – Oversees all organized activities and has the authority to cast all final decisions.
2. Vice President – Assists the President in organizing events and fills in for the President when he/she is unavailable. Represents CSACT in the
