As science has advanced over time, people have become less reliant on looking to the sky for explanations. I feel like it is more of a personal preference to get to become familiar with these phenomena. This subject can be hard for the human mind to grasp at times, so to attempt to make everyone aware of the same theories would be pretty illogical. If anything, I think it would be more our duty to know about biology-related sciences over astronomy-related sciences, because it seems like that would more directly affect us in daily
