One mistake is all it takes for someone to point you out to everyone else, which was beyond terrifying, but also alluring to know that every time you have to perform, there is always a risk. You could hear the soft murmurs coming from the audience as they sat there judging our appearance, wondering why there was no music being produced. The bitter tension was broken when Mr. William Stanley himself made an appearance. The mighty, world recognized conductor hopped up onto the stage, and with a huge grin he welcomed everyone to a once and a lifetime performance. The certain calmness that he had managed to settle our fears had given us a sense of hope that things were going to be alright. There was also a certain change in demeanor in the audience, as if they were giving us a sense of approval. Their cold glares soon turned into curiosity and excitement for what lay ahead. After the audience was done applauding, we soon found ourselves face to face with one of the greatest musicians in history. As the slow legato notes flowed from the cellos, you could literally feel the music pour out of our souls, as if we were telling our whole life story. The emotion that was put into this single piece was unfathomable, and to the point where you felt like the only way to communicate to other people was through music. So much passion was expressed as we played our light staccato notes, and watched the conductor wave his baton in a three four tempo. You can sense the fascinating thing about music and how it can paint a distinct picture in your head. The composer purposefully makes you picture a huge ballroom as you lightly waltz across the floor, with the subtle yet beautiful music playing softly in the background. It brought the audience and the musicians to life as we communicated through the universal language of music. A beautiful aspect of music was the fact that everyone spoke the language in a way to make a connection with each and every person who was sitting in that concert
