Preschool Observation On Child Development

The preschool observation has given me more knowledge in the social and emotional domains of development. Before this observation I viewed preschool aged children to all act very similar, in the fact, that they are all pretty outgoing. Growing up I was treated very differently because of how shy and slow-to-warm up to I was. This observation has taught me that children, even at this age, can develop differently than others and that does not necessarily makes them atypical. Skills that I have gained from this observation are; that I will be able to notice if a child's development is typical or atypical, know if a child need more attention than others, and I am capable of seeing signs if a child prefers to be left alone. I am hoping to become a child psychologist and feel like my observations will be a very helpful thing that I could look back on.
