Presidential Debate Pros And Cons
Presidential Debate Response The final Presidential Debate took a turn for the more civil side as opposed to the previous endeavours involving cordiality and the lack thereof. Egos and insults alike softened in anticipation of reaching the audience as speech moderator, Chris Wallace, discouraged any cheering and booing in accordance to the direct consideration of all in the process of voting. Upon first pretenses, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton did not shake hands and only acknowledge each other's presence once they both starting talking. Their attire was both formal as respectively Clinton’s dress was a bit more feminine from the tradition of having all male presidents. The setup was similar to the first debate as there was a podium for two along with a two minute timer; both of which did not pay much attention to.
Both of the candidate received the same questions that included both the question and a lead in as the determine the individual's opinions. The article by Jayme Deerwester in USA Today online is a rhetorical and slight propagandist piece on the interview/ debate between Trevor Noah and Tomi Lahren on the Daily Show. The writer writes in a very bipartisan and not biased on either side of the political spectrum. She talks about how the debaters were, “engaged in a spirited but respectful debate and managed not to talk over each other, a feat that's become all but unheard of on cable news the last few years.” (Deerwester, After That 'Daily Show' Interview) showing that she got taken aback by how the debate went and how calm both sides were to talking even if Tomi could have been aggressive due to being in a place that finds her views bothersome and frightful. She then later talks…

debates have occurred regularly and are becoming institutionalized as a practice in American elections. Third-party candidates have fewer chances to join presidential debates, especially if the two major party candidates do not agree to debate them. Unless it becomes in the interest of both parties to have a third-party candidate debate, as it was in 1992 with Ross Perot, it will be very difficult for third-party candidates to become a part of the presidential debates. Even though third parties have debated each other in presidential election years, the fate of third parties in receiving national coverage or joining the two major party candidates in presidential debates is uncertain. It is also unclear how much effect debates have on American…

The candidates I have picked for comparison are Carly Fiorina and Donald Trump. Both are running as Republican’s in the 2017 presidential election. Both candidates are doing well in the polls. Fiorina is second in the polls right behind Trump at first. Fiorina is a former business CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Trump is a real estate developer, TV star and a successful businessman. Where both candidates are Republican’s they will agree on some topic but will differ in the way they agree and the way they would handle each issue that America in facing as of now in the 21st century.…

The debate started with an introduction of both of the candidates and the moderator did a good job in providing an overview of the issues that were covered in the debate.
