Assignment 10: Political People Presidents have the ability to issue executive orders and appoint czars to the best of their ability and how they believe that individual will help ease the issue at hand. An executive order occurs when the President informs the public of an immediate mandate that must be put to law and is decided by only him. It is an order that all must obey, whether we like it or not. Executive orders can be of much concern to citizens and Presidents approval ratings can decline due to these orders being issued, especially if a majority of us disagree with them. Many times, Presidents issue these during their second term because, even though they will still be criticized, they will no longer run as presidency in the future so it won’t quite affect them as incumbents in an upcoming election. These are also in the power of the President and he gets to appoint them, and that is how they are given their position. They may be there as long as the President wants them to. The President may appoint czars if bureaucracies are of no help or they believe that this one individual can help solve the problem and he has the right attitude, demeanor, and experience to do so. This is not always the case, because at times, Presidents may appoint czars that have no idea how to look at the issue and find solutions to it, but instead, they may make the issue even worse. Some current czars include a health, border, and urban affairs czar. Czars salaries can range from a wide spectrum, but are generally averaged around $150,000 yearly. Of course, in order to pay them, the money comes from taxpayers and if they are not solving our issues, whatever that may is, then we need to be concerned of the President and why is he making such faulty
