In 1984 everyone would be watched by each other and any suspected crime against the community would be reported. An quote we can contrast to present day living would be said in chapter one on page three “Big Brother is Watching” putting people in fear and reiterating the fact that you are always being watched all the time by some higher power.But its okay go on with your life as normal whalst also living in the guidelines of our society norm.This quote is efficient at depicting the different of current first world democratic society because the people have a sort of impeachment power if the highest position dare threaten with a quote as such.
