The largest expansion of the Grand Mosque was carried out in Islamic history in order to gradually increase the capacity annually. The program provides strategic objectives, which are based on the vision and addresses the challenges by 2020 according to specific targets. It identifies the program each year, and the initiatives necessary to achieve these goals and sets detailed plans on the basis of interim indicators that measure and monitor performance. In its first year, the program was launched in 24 government bodies, and there are plans to expand its coverage annually.
