One thing I noticed from this comic is the connection I felt towards Paula. Our childhoods are very similar. Another aspect I noticed was the complete separation between Richard and Paula. Even in the last panel of the comic, when Paula and Richard meet, there is still separation between them. Paula seems to be aware of this separation, she can see how Richard has access to many things she does not have access to, but Richard is barely aware of Paula’s situation, and he even thinks that he is not more privileged than anyone else. This relates to the quote from a video we watched in class, “privilege is invisible to those who has it.”

It is hard to figure out all of the privileges I have, which relates me to Richard, and Bill. This means, that to some people, I am their Richard, and this makes me think to times when my comments may have hurt someone less privileged than me. I hope that I will be able to use my new knowledge on privilege in future situations.
I was not able to participate in the privilege walk, but I have gained some insight into privilege. There is a lot covering the issue of privilege, but since I have already pasted the word limit I will sum up my major findings. A privilege is mostly seen by those who do not have it, and those who do have it barely notices that others do not. The majority of people are on both sides; we have unaware of our privileges in some areas, but always observing the privileges that we do not
