control, and people had to make the hardest decision in their life. For example, let say that someone is in relationship and she told boyfriend that she is not ready to have kids until she finishes school. Accident happens and she ended up getting pregnant, and she has to make decision whether to keep the baby or abort it. It is her duty to ensure that she fulfils her dream before having a kid. This decision is up to the person to make on their own because they are one who will be caring for the baby. My stance upholds autonomy because I believe that everyone has the right to make decision that is best for themselves, not what someone else think they should do.
The person who is going through the situation knows their ability to handle it than someone else. On the other hand, I also think beneficence applies to pro-choice because deciding to abort the unborn fetus will benefit the person and give them time to accomplish their dream. However, we have to understand that aborting the fetus does not make the person a criminal. The person makes this decision because she may not be able to provide for the child and gives the child the best life. I also think that justice applies here as well because those are pro-life intends to treat pro-choice abortion like someone has committed a sin, and they need be punished for their choice. We just have treat those who are pro-choice with respect and dignity, and understand that we cannot tell them what to do. At the end of the day, they are the one who have to live with the choices they make. How would you feel if someone make a decision for you and you have to live it? It would not be right? That is why it would not be our place to tell someone what they should do. We also have to be willing to listen to the opposite side to hear what they have to say. The ethical argument that applies to pro-choice abortion is the violinist analogy. If I were hooked to the violinist, I would unhook the tubes the minute I realized I could not take it anymore. I am the one who is hooked to the violinist and I know what I am capable of handling, and someone else cannot tell me that they know when I have enough than myself. The same thing applies to those who are pro-choice and they know their body better than anymore
else.
