Everyone is trying to claw their way up to the top of the food chain. making the same arguments over and over again trying to seem as smart as possible without getting anything done. This is the stupidity of the American intellectual society. Before we even think about if it's right or wrong to force to be mothers to take a child into this cruel world or to save the child's individual genetic link to the rest of the human race. We need to first look at what we will do with the unwanted babies. Our current foster homes, orphanages and state homes cannot handle the influx of new entries. the children we do have are growing up without religion, not knowing their biological parents, in harsh environments, being addicted to drugs as early as the age of 10, being abused and forced into situations that stunts mental and physical growth. a influx of babies would just put more strain on the system and make the comfort of life even harder on the people who do want our kids to grow up knowing good from bad heaven from hell right from wrong.
Consciousness doesn't begin when you are born but when you start retaining memory.
