How to make a Delicious Strawberry Shortcake
Who doesn’t like the sweet fresh taste of strawberries? What better idea would it be to put them in a cake? It makes a delicious dessert, especially for strawberry lovers. It doesn’t hurt that it’s healthy and is an excellent source of folate, potassium, fiber and vitamin c. So you won’t feel that guilty while eating this dessert. This whole recipe will take about 45 minutes to prepare, and it serves about ten people, maybe more depending on how you decide to slice the cake. It may seem like a challenging thing to bake. Have no worries however because I will explain to you step-by-step how to make a delicious strawberry shortcake for all of your family and friends to enjoy.
The materials you will need are an 8 inch cake pan at least two inches deep, sifter, wax paper, a spatula, cooking spray, cooling rack, knife, plate, mixer and a fork. The ingriendents you’ll need for the cake are 1 ½ cup of flour, 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, ½ teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 9 tablespoons of softened unsalted butter, 1 ½ cups of sugar, 3 large eggs, ½ cup of sour cream, . For the icing/topping you’ll need 1/2 pound of cream cheese, 2 sticks of unsalted butter, 1 ½ pounds of sifted powdered sugar, 1 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and 1 pound of strawberries.
First, you want to start out by sifting together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cornstarch. Have you ever bit into a homemade cake and been startled by a chunk of chalky powder in your mouth? Have you ever had cookies come out denser and harder than they should be? The solution to these situations may be as easy as shifting flour before adding it into the recipe. Sifting is the process of sending flour through tiny grates. Often, flour that has been sitting in a container or bag will lump over time. Sifting it, aerates the flour, making it much finer, softer and able to absorb liquids more evenly.

My name is Christy Hitt. I am a mother of two wonderful daughters who are now grown, married and have children of their own, and yes that makes me a grandmother. I travel with my husband as his job requires him to do. I work with a physician on a remote desktop and have access to the business computer wherever I go. I have been working in the medical field for fourteen years now. The medical field is rapidly changing in every aspect of the word. It is getting harder and more stressful to try and figure out all the changes on my own. I talked with my husband about possibly me going back to school to obtain more knowledge in medical billing and coding. My husband thought this would be a great idea and backed me 100 percent. The only worry was how I was going to handle my fulltime job, moving every three to six months to a different state, taking care of our home in Florida and school work. My husband assured me that we would figure out a way that we could accomplish this and make time for me to study. So, I started my online studies with Penn Foster to obtain my Associates degree in Healthcare Management. I wake up around 4:30 in the morning to help my husband get ready for his day, which would include getting the coffee going, making lunch and of course trying to wake him up; the man sleeps like a rock. I then have to get myself ready for my day. As I am booting up my computer, my Internet goes out, how convenient. Now, I have to call the cable company to come out as soon as possible to get it fixed, as my work and school both require me to be connected to an Internet service. I start by calling the patients and reminding them about their appointments for the following day; this can be time consuming and often takes a good part of the day as we see approximately fifty patients a day. I can see the insurance aging is getting behind and that is something I have to work on today, as this is how we get paid. I also have to do re-credentialing for our Medicaid and…

Laundry is a daily chore that must be done. I do not know of anyone who enjoys the daily ritual of cleaning clothes but with a few easy steps it does not have to be such a hassle. There is also some pre-planning steps you can take that will save you time and frustration. The first and most important step in the laundry process is to be prepared. Make sure you have all the supplies you need to get the job done before you get started. You will need laundry detergent. You can buy powder or liquid detergent, but I prefer liquid because powder detergent does not always dissolve completely and you can substitute liquid detergent for stain remover in a pinch. You will also need a stain remover, such as Shout, and bleach. Bleach now comes in a color safe version so you can use it on all your clothes, not just whites. I also recommend using a liquid fabric softener in the wash but you will need sheets for the dryer as well. Most washing machines have a place to put it or you can buy a ball that goes in the washer and releases the fabric softener at the right time. Also, you will need a basket for your dirty clothes to go in.. I keep several so I can sort them as they get dirty instead of digging through one basket to get a load. Once you have all your supplies you are ready to start. Depending on what you are washing you will need to adjust the setting on your washer. For example towels can be washed on heavy duty but finer linens such as silks need a more delicate setting. Start the washer and add the detergent and any bleach as the water begins to fill. If you do not already have your laundry separated in baskets, you will need to go through everything to get a load ready. Like colors and fabrics…

Everything we do in life involves some kind of process to get it accomplished. Whether it is tying our shoes, baking a cake, or changing the oil in the car. People do things differently and have certain steps they take, in their own way, to get it done. This essay could be written about practically anything, but it will be about how to carve a jack-o-lantern. Carving a pumpkin is actually pretty easy. With a few quick, straight cuts with a knife, triangular eyes, a nose, and a toothy smile can be made. The result is a face that almost anyone will recognize, even if it was not drawn on a piece of paper. It is the face of a jack-o-lantern. Carving a really memorable jack-o-lantern can take a bit more planning, involving steps such as, preparing the pumpkin, actually carving the pumpkin, and getting the pumpkin finished and ready to put on display.…
