Process Essay: What Makes A Good Role Model
What makes a good role model? A role model can take on many shapes and forms. They can be someone that people look up to or even someone that a person strives to be. I think of my role models in almost everything that I do. I always ask myself, "what would my role model do?" It almost always steers me in the right direction. Most role models effect people in a positive way by something they do or something that they say. I've noticed that when most people talk about their role models they talk about prominent figures in history or our society such as Abrahams Lincoln or rosa parks. Both of my role models lead by example and that is what I admire most about them. One of my role models is not a prominent figure like those, but has still influenced me in a similar way that those people influenced others. It is not about how famous or prominent the role model …show more content…
I know that he is probably no ones role model anymore, but he's still on of mine. I always admired him growing up before the scandal. The way he carries himself on the course even during a bad round was really cool to see. It was really tough to see a man I looked up to so much go through what he did, but it is astonishing how he could come back and still play on the tour. I am not condoning what he did, but it takes a lot to come back and go into the public eye again like he did. After the incident, it made me look up to him more in the sense that he persevered through the press and negativity and still continues to play golf on tour. He still has a long way to go, but it is great to see that he is persevering.
The definition of a role model is “a person whose behavior, example, or success is or can be emulated by others, especially by younger people.” I think this is the most accurate description because when you find your role model, you do your best to emulate them in any way you can. I do this for my role models and im sure other people do it for

As a student in a Primary School I believe that I am a good role model to the children in the setting “Remember that children notice and learn from your feelings, actions and reactions. You are a powerful source of learning for the child.”(Bruce, 2007, P157) I am always punctual this helps the children because if I always turn up late they may feel as though it is then okay for them to turn up late everyday when its not so if they see me on time everyday then they will do the same.…

Role models are very important when it comes to social learning because we are more likely to do what they do they do so we memorise what they do well and then we copy. This is because we look up to them and it can be very different from copying someone in the street. This is because we would rather imitate our role models because we may think they are the best in everything that they do. Personally my role model is Nelson Mandela because despite all the challenges that he faced through his life has been strong, passionate, worked hard and he stood to what he believed in no matter how much people wanted him dead. Another reason is because he has achieved a lot throughout his life, but unfortunately he’s passed away now even though this doesn’t change my mind. I want to be able to achieve similar things to him. For this reason I copy his behaviour when dealing with certain problems.…

When choosing a role model according to my Christian worldview there are several positions taken into account. Their position and belief on Sexuality, Social Issues, and the Nature of God are areas in which our agreeing or disagreeing is a major contributing factor throughout the decision making process. Because of our foundational beliefs, Richard Dawkins does not meet the most lenient of qualifications according to my Christian worldview in order to serve as a role model. According to my Christian worldview a role model can be defined as a person whose belief system being based upon their acceptance that God is the creator of the universe, has sent his only begotten Son as the sacrifice for sin, and trusting the Holy scriptures are the inerrant and infallible word of God.…

Being a role model is the most powerful form of education; we, the young developing adults, would be lost without it. A role model is a person that someone looks up to and wants to be like, either in the present or in the future. It can be anyone; a parent, family member, friend, or even someone off of a movie or book. The tremendous role models that I continue to learn from are my amazing mom, enlightened Coach Bird, and brilliant minded Sherlock Holmes.…

By being these things, I will be a role model to my children when they grow old enough, my coworkers at my workplace, and my friends, even the friends that I have today, thereby creating a next generation of hard workers, good fathers, and men of integrity. I look forward to following in the footsteps of my mentors and leading future generations in the right direction. The term role model generally means any "person who serves as an example, whose behaviour is emulated by others". The individual that I chose from a young age to emulate my behavior off of is Spongebob Squarepants. He is a sponge that lives at the bottom of the ocean in a town called Bikini Bottom, where he works at a local burger restaurant called the Krusty Krab. He’s not my hero in the idea that he lives alone and works in fast food for his entire life but because he is the most loyal and determined individual that I can think of. He taught me that no matter how old you are, to never let go of your inner child.…

From birth babies are constantly watching other people. Babies and kids watch everything that is put in front of them. They watch their parents, siblings, television, and other kids that are around them. Role models have an astounding effect on the lives of young people in our society. A role model has the ability to shape the views, ideas, and actions of a young person. Role models have a strong effect on what youth decide to become in the future. The influence that role models have over young people is tremendous. It is important for role models to be positive and responsible in instilling good morals and values because future generations are directly dependent on the role models of today. Celebrities are usually high role models because they are on television and in the media daily. I am a Christian, so I decided to stay with a good role model who shares somewhat of the same worldview as mine. Based upon the example this celebrity set in life, family, and career choice, I chose to write about Tyra Banks. Tyra Banks undeniably fits into the Christian Theism worldview.…
