Great post! The Professional Practice Model of University of Iowa Hospital looks like a great place to have a career on. Similar to the St. Vincent's Medical Center, promoting education are important when it comes to their Professional Practice Model. At St. Vincent, a lot of the nurses are encouraged to pursue advancement through the Levels of Practice program where they are recognized and compensated based on their dedication to enhancing their knowledge and clinical expertise, leadership skills and acquiring advanced credenitals (St. Vincent, 2012). To be able to continue their education, nurses will be able to build clinical competency, acquir knowledge and develop new skills (St. Vincent, 2012).
