The Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy (PSE) is an idea that was set up by the King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand for his people in the 1970s, with the aim of rectifying many of Thailand’s economical and social problems. One way of doing this, along with numerous others, was for the government to inject money into rural areas and remote communities to train and educate the people on how to utilize their land and natural resources in accordance with the PSE, as they still do today.
