1. Briefly outline the maintenance procedure for Shell & tube floating head exchanger?

Answer:

Erect scaffolding as required
Remove insulation
Blinding / connection of hoses for draining
Remove connected piping
Remove channel head cover
Carry out preliminary hydrotest
Remove shell cover
Remove tube bundle from shell
Offer for Inspect
Transport parts to shop
Clean bundle by hydroblasting / components
Repair / retubing as required
Install bundle
Install channel head / test ring on floating end
Hydrotest shell side
Install channel head cover
Install floating head cover / test ring
Hydrotest tube side / remove test ring
Install rear end cover
Final shell side test
Deblind / connect piping
Remove scaffolding / clean area

2. Briefly outline the maintenance procedure for fin fan?

Answer:
Isolate and connect drain
Install blind
Remove seal weld / plugs
Clean tubes / hydroblast
Offer to inspection
Remove banks if required
Repair / replace tubes if required
Install banks
Install plugs / oversize if required
Hydrotest banks
Deblind / clean area

3. Briefly outline the maintenance procedure for heaters?

Answer:
Erect scaffold
Connect drain / blinding
Drop burners
Swing elbows for decoking if required
Blinding for opening
Open manway
Provide ventilation / lighting / scaffolding
Obtain entry permit
Cover the burners
Clean radiation / convection section
Offer for inspection
Repair / refractory replacement
Install burners
Remove ventilation / lights / scaffolding
Box up
Swing elbows / deblind
Remove external scaffold / clean area

4. Briefly outline the maintenance procedure for vessels?

Answer:
Erect scaffolding
Install blinds / steaming
Open manway
Remove LT / LG / Valves
Install ventilation equipment
Gas test and obtain entry permit
Install lights / scaffolding internal
Clean vessel / weld joints
Offer for inspection
Repair as required
Flush lead
