CHAPTER 1
INTORDUCTION

Background of the Project Today one the most common and useful is computer in the modern technology in the world. Computer makes our world easier and faster in our projects more presentable. It is a must for everybody to have their own computer and also for the businessman that have many works and business on a day-to-day basis. The barangay project is the project of barangay that has must be having a project, because without project, it refers it to the barangay officials participation and also reflect it in their cooperation in barangay to make it beautiful, respectful and successful barangay. Therefore barangay must have a projects because of that, one barangay have record of project in yearly or every they do a project but every barangay problem is their record, like the record of projects because they difficulty to see/view the records of project that they need, and to solve that problem the computer is the answer because computer it makes the record organized and manageable. And using of that proposed a system entitled “PROJECT MONITORING SYSTEM” its help the barangay for their problem in recording and viewing because in the barangay the personnel a many records in hardcopy and they difficult to recording and viewing so we plan and do a system to help the personnel for their works become easier and faster.
Statement of Problem In studying the existing system the proponents have identified the following problem:
1. Slow transaction, the secretary search from the bulky files manually to come up for the project data sheet/record.
2. Loss of records, the secretary is responsible for the security of all records in a filing cabinet which is not safe place for keeping the important files. In this case, lost of records would always be encountered. In the proposed system, anytime they can have their lockup of files, so in case of corruption, a backup for those files is available.

The company created six different departments, which are in charge of different project parts.
