1.0 Executive Summary
Fiction Corporation contracted Tompkins IT Networking Inc. to migrate and upgrade its existing data center network infrastructure to a new HQ location. This upgrade is necessitated by the recent growth that the company has experienced, and therefore has a need to implement an improved, expanded, and secure information system infrastructure.
The Data center serves as the central IT nerve center for Fiction Corporation’s 500 retail operation outlets, a 100 seat call center, and three remote warehouses. Plan will improve the retail centers currently availability to 99.9%.
Tompkins plans to implement the migration in four phases. The projected completion date is August 31, 2012.
2.0 Project Goal
The goal of this project is to improve information technology delivery at Fiction Corporation to achieve increased performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
3.0 Project Scope
The purpose of the project is migration of the existing data center to a larger and functional location. The IT
