PROJECT PROPOSAL

Project Name Title: Café ala Cart | A Project Feasibility Study on Coffee Shop on Cart Authors: Jestine S. Santiago Arty Marc E. Padero Abdel Al-Rashid C. Taola Giovanni P. Belchez Joel B. Aquino Jodi Cris P. Tomagan Location The project will be situated inside school campus(Ateneo de Zamboanga University, La Purisima St., Zamboanga City) in front the cafeteria. The principal office will be located at Peace Subdivision, Tugbungan, Zamboanga City. Proponent The promoters of this study are fourth year BS Accountancy students of Ateneo de Zamboanga University. This project is a partial fulfillment of the requirements in Accounting 412- Management Advisory Service. The proponents are supervised and guided by Mr. Jayson Axalan, CPA. The proponents of this project and their respective roles are as follows: Jestine S. Santiago Arty Marc E. Padero Abdel Al-Rashid C. Taola Giovanni P. Belchez Joel B. Aquino Jodi Cris P. Tomagan Project Description The importance of coffee in the world economy cannot be understated. It is one of the most valuable primary products in world trade, in many years, second in value only to oil as a source of foreign exchange to developing countries. Its cultivation, processing, trading, transportation and marketing provide employment for millions of people worldwide. Coffee is crucial to the economies and politics of many developing countries. The coffee culture had been buried deeply in many people life, where coffee is a part of their life. Many of them need cups of coffee every morning to kick of their day. First, they are concentrating on the location, people they look for a shop that will cost them the least rent and tell themselves that their shop will be run so well that people will flock to it. But remember, consumers re fickle and lazy if your shop is not in the right place, whatever you do and whatever you offer, your business will be limited by its location. So don’t commit yourself to any premises until you know how many people will pass by your shop each day. You will be investing a huge amount of your time and money into your new business and you really won’t want it to fail. Put aside as much time as possible to find the position for your shop. Take a clipboard and stand outside popular coffee shop count how many people walk past the shop and how many stop for a coffee. Do this at different times of the day, and different days of the week.
