Prokaryotes And Eukaryotes Similarities
Differences and Similarities Charlie Drees
Between Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes Mr. Stergar 6th Period 6th Period 10/12/16
I have decided to do an essay about differences and similarities between prokaryotes and eukaryotes. There is a lot of differences between prokaryotes and eukaryotes, but less similarities than differences. All of the cells help the earth one way or another. One difference between the two is, all prokaryotes are

Binary fission is a form asexual reproduction in which a cell divides to form two identical cells. Asexual reproduction is reproductive process that involves only one parent and produces off spring that are identical to the parent. Eukaryotes use mitosis which is a cell cycle during which the cell’s nucleus divides into two new nuclei and one copy of the DNA is distributed into each daughter cell. There is technically six stages of mitosis. Eventually, during the mitosis stages the nucleus exchanges its information and the cell splits apart to make a new …show more content…
Cytoplasm is a jelly-like sac that is made by mostly water and salt. Cytoplasm is there in all cell types and contains all organelles and cell parts. It’s kind of like water in a water balloon. The actual water balloon is like the cell wall.

Both eukaryotes and prokaryotes have ribosomes. Ribosomes are particles that that have RNA, (ribonucleic acid), and a variety of proteins found in large numbers in cytoplasm of living cells. They message RNA and transfer RNA to synthetic polypeptides. The ribosomes just makes sure that the RNA are working and transferring throughout the cell.

Lastly, a similarity is you can find prokaryotes and eukaryotes in human. Prokaryotes have a mutualistic relationship with the human body. And all human body cells are eukaryotes. Prokaryotes are mostly bacteria, and lots of bacteria have positive effects on humans. The positive effects are they help the large intestines, helps skin, and helps prevent fungi overgrowth, as well as many other positive functions. And eukaryotes are just every living human body

The two types of cells contain the same genetic material and like all cells, they release energy through respiration in addition to making proteins similarly. The structure of the prokaryotic cells is similar to mitochondrial and chloroplast’s structure, both of which are eukaryotic organelles. Moreover, the two cell types have ribosomes in addition to DNA which functions to control their structure, behavior, and…

    1. There are two main types of cells, prokaryotic and eukaryotic. The connection between the two can be seen right from their prefixes, pro meaning before and eu meaning true or good. This is because prokaryotic cells are before a nucleus and eukaryotic cells possess a true nucleus. This has led to many theories that eukaryotic cells have evolved from prokaryotes. The evidence for this is most noticeable in the structure of the cells, which will be compared below.…

The most significant structural difference is that only eukaryotic cells have organelles (“little organs”), membrane-enclosed structures that perform specific functions. The most important organelle is the nucleus, which houses most of a eukaryotic cell’s DNA and is surrounded by a double membrane. A prokaryotic cell lacks a nucleus; its DNA is coiled into a “nucleus-like” region called the nucleoid, which is not partitioned from the rest of the cell by membranes. (Pg.58, p1)…

There are two different types of cells, there are prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Within eukaryotes there are different structures and similar structures. For example; in a plant cell they have a nucleus, mitochondria an ER, and a Golgi body. These are the same as animal cells; however they differ because plants cells have a cellulose cell wall, chloroplasts, large central vacuole and they use starch for storage whereas an animal cell has lysosomes, rough ER, smooth ER and ribosomes. Eukaryotes differ from prokaryotes because prokaryotes have no nucleus, they just have a loop of DNA and they also have no membrane-bound organelles. Prokaryotes also have a cell wall, along with a slime capsule, flagellae and plasmids.…

Investor behavior of behavioral finance concentrates on irrational behavior that can affect investment decision and market prices. It attempts to better understand and explain how emotions and cognitive errors influence investors and the decision-making process. In global financial markets the use of approaches based on perfect predictions, completely flexible prices, and the complete knowledge of all the decision of all other players in the market are increasingly unrealistic. The contribution of behavioral finances is not to diminish the fundamental work that has been done by proponents of efficient market hypothesis. Rather, it is to examine the importance of relaxing unrealistic behavioral assumptions and make it more realistic. It does this by adding more individual aspects of the decision-making process in financial markets. Without these contributions of behavioral finance, certain aspects of financial markets cannot be understood. Despite the importance of individuals’ investment decision, however, we know little about the factors that influence them. Finance research has often ignored the individual investors’ decision making process while taking financial investment decisions. There is need to develop behavioral paradigm to probe into the determinants of investor behavior and their impact on individual investor financial decision making.…
