Prometheus Monologue
I wish to free my fellow sisters. I wish to bring them to this new society Prometheus and I have created. He has already made a trip from here to our old society, bringing Union 5-3992 and International 4-8818 back with him. As the days went on, all of us have worked together to improve as much as possible.
I have witnessed the relief in their eyes as they were brought into this society, the freedom and individualism they never had. I wish for my own sisters to experience this too. I wanted for them to be able to think freely and live as they wanted to.
I planned to leave one day and I asked Prometheus if I could.
"Must you leave? Why can't you leave this to me," he asked.
"I must talk to them for I was once beside them," I answered.

I made my way down the mountain and walked through the forest for hours. I stopped when it became night and set up my own camp, just like how Prometheus taught me. I used a bow and hunted for food, just like how Prometheus taught me.
When the sun began to rise, I started my long journey again. After a few more hours, I had finally reached the fields where my sisters were working. They did not notice me until I had called out to one of them.
"Liberty 5-3000. Where have you been? Along with that criminal Equality 7-2521 you have been missing for days. Why are you all of a sudden back here" they asked.
"I have come to guide you to a new society that I have created along with Equality 7-2521. I hope you will join me to gain freedom and life," I

How could you use a word from a time as horrible as that? What would our Council say if they found out?" they worriedly asked.
"I have made sure no trace of our new society have been seen by the Council but I do not have much time. I need you all to come with me and live a new life without rules that bound you into nothingness," I said. They thought about it for a while, but returned to their places and continued to work as if I wasn't there. I was confused and didn't understand why they weren't eager to see their new life.
"Why are non of you coming? Do you not believe the new society I have made?" I asked.
"We believe you, but we do not want to leave this life where we have everything we need to survive and nothing to fear. In this new society you speak of, we believe that there are many problems waiting to appear." They answered.
I was confused at what they were saying. Why would they refuse an offer to become free and escape from this corrupt society?
"We understand what you are saying, but we are happy where we are. We are well fed everyday and never in danger at all. We don't what to sacrifice this life for one of danger and wildness," they

In part three John Halpin and Marta Cook’s 2010, “Progressive Tradition Series: Social Movements and Progressivism,” they state that change can begin with the people and does not have to wait for the government. The Social movements started by the people can be for both individual rights and equality. Once one social movement is successful, its success often brings about another social movement. Before the Suffrage and Women’s Rights movement of the late 19th century, the Abolitionist movement was the platform for social reform. From 1765 to 1783, the American Colonies fought a war against Britain; rejecting the British monarchy and overthrowing British authority over the thirteen colonies.…
