Equality-Equality is about ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity to make the most of their lives and talents, and believing that no one should have poorer life chances because of where, what or whom they were born, what they believe, or whether they have a disability. Equality recognises that historically, certain groups of people with characteristics e.g. race, disability, sex and sexuality, have experienced discrimination. (Equalityhumanrights.com, 2016). For example, Nusrat has a learning disability and is unable to speak properly, because she has this difficulty she can be discriminated against because people can just ignore her. But instead she has been provided with an advocate so she can get her point across to people and have a chance to communicate and engage in conversations with people.

She may be discriminated against because of her learning disability because they may thing she is unable to do things when in fact she could be able to do them. To help Nusrat with her difficulties she could speak to somebody to help her communicate better. By doing this it would increase Nusrat‘s confidence levels and make her feel more empowered and part of the group
Nusrat also has epilepsy that is not currently well controlled. People may discriminate against Nusrat by not allowing her to join in on group trips e.g. to a museum etc. Because she could be a risk. This would hurt Nusrat’s feelings because they’re not including her in the trips and events. Some ways in which Nusrat could be made to feel better is if Nusrat has a volunteer to help her if anything helps. This may at first make Nusrat feel uncomfortable at first but she can still participate with other people when she goes out on trips.
