Romeo and Juliet: Violence as a cause of love
1. Love can force to take a path of violence and at many cases nothing else will matter but your love; you would choose love over many things. This was clearly evident in Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet”. Love has no boundaries and it can overtake all the other emotions and loyalties towards families and friends. Romeo and Juliet are ready to fight against their laws and their society for their love which is clear from these lines of the play, “Deny thy father and refuse thy name,” (2.2.34) Juliet asks, “Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I’ll no longer be a Capulet” (2.2.36). Juliet says “If all else fail, myself have power to die” (3.5.242).
Romeo and Juliet decide to go to any extent to achieve their love together. If this was not possible, they would kill themselves.
