In Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’,”On the Fear of Death,” she describes the different aspects of the dying process: options for the final days of the terminally ill person, the grieving process of the family, and how children are treated during this time. How grieving has changed due to the many advances in medicine that have been made is examined. The dissimilitude in “old-fashioned” death and “modern” final days are presented. She focuses on accentuating how stoically people are treated in a healthcare facility to drive her point home. She is a true advocate for Hospice but fails to mention several critical variables. I work in the healthcare field as well and I have taken care of my father in his final years, while I was a child. I have experienced both styles of the death process and one can be more appropriate than another depending on the circumstances. Sometimes one has to consider the circumstances surrounding the end of a life and a mechanical death may be necessary.…

The first Article, the belief in Tahwid, the recognition of a singular being, installs meaning and purpose as Muslims live their lives in submission to their divine creator and His will for humans (Muslims). Tahwid outlines that there is only God, who establishes direction and meaning into a Muslim's life. (Sultan, 2004 pg. 25)…

The role of pilgrims is to meditate, pray and concentrate their thoughts on Allah whereas they also spend the night. The essence of the practice is to stand and face Haram (sin) whilst asking for forgiveness from Allah which is sincere repentance. KJRI states that there are 43 groups officially recognized as religious gathering community (Fahmi 2011). Begins in 2004, this particular community was initiated by Persatuan Dakwah Victoria (Victoria Preaching Association). Nowadays, this association manages several smaller groups e.g. Majlis Ta’lim Ikatan Persaudaraan Muslimah Hong Kong (Muslimah Hong Kong Community), Gabungan Migran Muslim Indonesia (Indonesian Muslim Migrant Association) and Manajemen Qolbu (Qolbu Management), a group which focuses on Qur’an learning (Gizoel 2012). Most of the religious gatherings in Hong Kong are Muslim gathering because the majority of IDWs in Hong Kong are Muslims. Apart from its emergence as a counter to other community, this religious gathering community is also formed to meet the demand of religious teaching need. Living in the hurly burly of Hong Kong secular life, as Muslims, IDWs think that they need to have religious teaching. Because they could not have it from the local neighborhood, they decide to form a Muslim gathering which aims at strengthening and maintaining their faith as Muslim. Such community regularly hosts Islamic teaching lectures by inviting Ustadz (preacher) from Indonesia. Sometimes they invite an Indonesian celebrity as a guest star to draw more…
