I believe that having a public dog park is vital for the animals physical well-being. It is noted in multiple different studies that dogs with interaction between other animals have a better mental wellness. Also noted that having an enclosed park gives the animals a regulated area in which they can run and play. Unlike in some cities where animals run free and are somewhat problematic.
With that said they are pros and cons of having the public parks. A downfall of having a park would be more noise from the animals themselves due to barking. Which in return would make it hard for some people to achive the rest that is needed. One of the pros of the park would be
that property values have been shown to raise due to dog parks being implemented into the neighborhood.
Although making taxpayers pay for something that isnt vital for the area could be looked at as irresponsible. Money could be used in other areas of the city to fix streets or fund schools instread of being used to build a public dog park. Also traffic could become an issue due to the increase of more people being in the area which can lead to longer traffic times.
Overall I believe that having a dog park is a good asset for a community. It helps to prevent animals being thrown out into the streets. Which causes shelters to become overpopulated. Also rainsing property value brings a better economy to the area.
