Study shows that sixty-four percent of the world’s drivers are teenagers. Because of safety concerns, state legislatures are considering changing the minimum driving age from sixteen to eighteen. The driving age should remain the same, because driving allows teenagers to transport themselves to and from school or jobs, and they are able to obtain necessary responsibility skills. First thing to remember is that many sixteen year olds are very busy. In most cases, many students are involved in extracurricular activities, have jobs, or both. Research shows that nine times out of ten transportation is needed to execute these tasks. For example, Ciara, a sixteen year old , just landed her first job and she is the star player of her basketball and softball team.
