The Government should not have anything to do with late term abortions. The ongoing debate whether they should or should not outlaw late term abortion is a discussion that cannot seem to find the correct solution for the problem. Late term abortions are is some way quite different than regular abortions for many of the late term abortions are mercy killings. Many of the mercy killings are from mothers who do not want their baby to suffer once it is born which in many ways they die right away or they would not be able to survive on their own. decision, it is their fundamental right, and it is a generally a last resort for a mom to go through this circumstance. The Government should definitely not outlaw late term abortions owing to the fact that it is the mother’s body and she should have control with whatever she wants to do with her late term pregnancy Outlawing it will cause the mothers to die for their baby that might not even make it to birth and it will leave a devastating family who will not be mourning just one death but two.
If the Government keeps late term abortions, it will let the mother choose whether what she thinks will be the best for the family. In which she would choose whether it should be her or the baby who will survive, in which many mother’s choose the baby’s life instead of their own, since they are not all selfish. If the Government has to outlaw late term abortion, it will not give the family a choice so certain situations might go unpleasant for the family, and not letting them have any choice is genuinely …show more content…
inadequate. Mother’s have the fundamental right to choose what they want to do in a situation just like late term abortion. The US Supreme Court declared that abortion is a "fundamental right" and it is guaranteed by the US Constitution. The landmark abortion case Roe v. Wade, decided in favor of abortion rights, so it remains the law of the U.S. The Constitution states that "a guarantee of certain areas or zones of privacy," and that "This right of privacy... is broad enough to encompass a woman's decision whether or not to terminate her pregnancy." So this goes also for late-term pregnancies in which the mother has a decision if they should terminate her late pregnancy since of course it is her body and the constitution is protecting that right. ave to make since it is a fundamental right that they have. Many mothers who go through late term abortions are usually the ones who have it as a last resort for them.
Having to go through this situation is saddening for mothers since they choose it for the sake of their baby. Usually in most cases, some fetuses have severe disorders that death is guaranteed before or shortly after birth. Some include anencephaly in which the brain is missing, and limb body wall complex, in which organs are developed outside the body. So mother’s do not want their baby to suffer once they come out to the world so they have to make a heart wrenching decision in which could be the best for the baby or cause it suffering. Which is why outlawing late term abortions will not let the mother choose the best option for her, she just would not have any choice and her late term pregnancy can either go good or
bad. Therefore the Government should not outlaw late term abortions, due to that it’s the mother's own personal health, it’s their fundamental right that they have as an American, and it’s usually not at all common. The Government shouldn’t outlaw it since then in situations whether it will be leaving the mom or the child to survive, they would not know what the family will want which is what is best for them. Having them outlaw late term abortion will be malicious for their own fundamental right that was given to them by the constitution.
