If Internet providers suddenly have the power to speed up content they own or slow down content owned by rivals, then they will want to own as much content as possible.

Net neutrality has played a huge role in our society thus far. It allowed for websites like facebook to expand to where it is today. Under the new rules Internet providers could block websites they don't like.Without internet freedom the internet wouldn’t really be the internet anymore. Small businesses and minority groups would no longer have equal representation on the internet, which would allow bigger businesses to make all the profit and for leave minority voices unheard.

Chairman Pai has made it his personal mission to make the internet a place of profit for those who are already rich and an extra expense for those who are struggling to keep a roof over their heads. Ajit Pai stated that “ there is a study by a highly respected economist that says that among the top 12 Internet service providers in terms of size, investment is down by 5.6 percent, or several billion dollars, over the last two years.
