1. Know your bankroll. How much money are you willing, to loose? Choose betting limits you are comfortable with for when you don’t win. Play in lower limit games until you are winning consistently before you move up to higher limit games. The higher the limit, the better the skill level of the other players in the game. Controlling your bankroll is vital in becoming a winning poker player and creates discipline when you manage how much and when you place a bet. Without discipline, it’s harder to be the big winner in a high-stakes game.
2. Drinking and emotions. Alcohol makes you less inhibited, and could make you play with poor judgment. Emotions play a big part in whether you win or not. If you’ve had a bad day, or you’re depressed, or in a bad mood can impact your ability to win.
