Pros And Cons Of Pluto

I believe that the International Astronomical union is wrong to believe that Pluto no longer deserves the designation of a planet. I even disagree with the definition of what a planet should be, and after doing a little bit of research, I have found that only four percent of IAU members were actually present for the vote. They chose to vote on the day that most of the members were catching a flight home. Kind of fishy if you ask me. After over 80 years of being a planet, and in just one night it was demoted. If you hear the term dwarf star or dwarf galaxy, they are still considered stars and galaxies, but for some reason, dwarf planets cannot be considered planets (DeBenedicts 2015). The planet must “clear the neighborhood” in order to earn the right to be called a planet. What does that even mean?
