Pros Of Immigration
Immigration is a happy thing for a family and for the United States. It is a way that someone could start a new life and avoid the dangers of harsh rule and persecution. Our beautiful country was built on these new beginnings. It is nice to see that the number of these new beginnings are increasing. These people are entitled to everything that a common American man or women have, if they are a citizen. Citizens work hard to have all the rights that are written in the constitution. The document reads, “We the people, of the United States.” Citizens are “the people”. Undocumented citizens are not the people of the United States, they are the people from wherever they previously lived. Immigrants have the chance to call themselves Americans, …show more content…
There is a very big issue of illegal immigration. These people have housing and benefits. They could be walking criminals. Even though they are good people, they still break the law every day. This is an issue because they have jobs, housing, etc. like everyone else, but they are taking these privileges away from people who are following the law. Immigration laws are tough and full of struggles, and the American people and other immigrants constantly look down on them. Americans look down on them because them as criminals. Migrants look down on them because they remember the struggles they had to go through to become citizens. They see them skipping these hardships and getting the same benefits and money as they worked legally …show more content…
Each one saw that illegal immigration was a problem in our modern society, but America didn’t focus their attention on any of them except one. The Republican shrewd, solid businessman, Donald Trump. He used the slogan “make America great again.” He made illegal immigration one of his top priorities. He truly fought for what he believed was the right way to stop illegal immigration through a series of deportation and building a bigger way at the Mexican border. He said this at every campaign speech he addressed and at every debate. Some believe that this is necessary and some disagree. President Trump did make one big error. While some may disagree, he was borderline disrespectful when he said this: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” While some of this is very true, a lot of this is just words. A lot of people were willing to vote for him until he said

On Tuesday, January 10, President Donald Trump delivered his first State of the Union address. A large portion of his speech was devoted to the controversial topic of immigration reform. A careful analysis of his remarks reveals that he does not want undocumented people living in America. Although he does squeeze in some ideas that will allow a limited amount of immigrants to receive citizenship most were ideas to them keep out or severely hurt their chances. Trump uses a series of rhetorical devices to label undocumented immigrants as bad beings such as logos and pathos, repetition and anaphora.…

If you were born in a poor country and you could barely survive, what would you do? If you heard that there are opportunities for a better life in more advanced countries, would you try your luck there in an attempt to provide a better life for your family? Although the reasons that brought all the immigrants to the Unites States may vary, a typical case is that in which an individual is born in a family with limited resources and he comes to the U.S. with hopes of having a better life. Those who have empathy would want to help those going through a difficult situation by letting them into our country. However, simply acting based on emotions is not sufficient; reasoning and logic are crucial when governing a nation. After an examination of…

Some of the candidates think that there is an issue with immigration today which can only be solved by putting an immediate stop to illegal immigration and drastically reducing the number of legal immigrants allowed in the country. However I believe this would only create more problems for the United States. Many people claim that immigrants are stealing the jobs of hardworking Americans, but I disagree. If we forcibly removed all of the illegal immigrants from our country, not only would that cause a sizable international dilemma, but we would lose a large portion of the blue collar labor force. The fact of the matter is that immigrants do jobs that Americans feel they are too good for. By removing immigrants, we would only create a gap in the labor force because Americans buy-in-large feel entitled to well paid white collar jobs. In my opinion, Trump can talk about removing the Muslims and building his wall, but that would only create more problems for the United States as a whole. Immigrants play a large role in the labor force of this country and have since the Gilded…

“The mighty tides of immigration… bring to us different languages, opinions, customs, and principles…” (Immigration opposing views 26). Immigrants from all over the world contribute to the United States by revitalizing cities, building the economy, and bringing their energizing culture to the bland society of America. About 12 million people in the United States are living illegally (scholastic, New York Times Subtitle) only because of the U.S code title 8 1325, which states that you have committed a federal crime if an improper entry has been attempted by an alien (legal information institute par.1). The biggest problem of immigration is the way it has divided America. During this last election, I heard the topic of Immigration discussed more than I’ve ever heard before, and most of it was opinion, rather than fact. Immigration has triggered the most disgusting fears of many Americans, the “foreign people are coming to take over” fear. In my opinion, immigration is a good thing, as it brings diversity to the United States, which is something I value very much. Many people believe that immigrates come to America, rent homes, use the U.S. and then leave. However, according to the Center for American Progress, 50.7 percent of immigrants are homeowners, compared to 64.6 percent of U.S. citizens. I’ve heard quite a few people say that immigrants…

Recently here in America, many citizens are still in loathe of us immigrants, especially the president, Trump. He dislikes the fact that different backgrounds are flourishing in this country and will stop at nothing until we're all gone. He criticizes all of us together with one’s mistake and label us, “rapists and criminals” even though he has no idea why most of us choose to come because some are here as refugees escaping from violent places to seek safety, while the majority of us like you and I, mom, are hoping to pursue the American Dream by working hard day and night until it becomes a reality.…

The pain and suffering some aliens and immigrants suffer is just unbearable. Millions of undocumented immigrants, “Families are afraid to seek health care and cannot enroll their children in school. They cannot call the police if they are assaulted or raped…” (“Illegal Immigration”). Illegal immigrant’s worst fear is to be deported back to their native countries and the sacrifices they have to go through while crossing the border. For example, “crossing the Mexican border into the United States must often travel for miles across open desert, Hundreds die each year from exposure to the heat, as well as hunger and dehydration” (Illegal Immigration). Illegal immigrants are not granted the same rights or privileges as others. I believe that illegal…
