There is a girl whose name was Proserpina. Proserpina is a very beautiful and mature young lady. She has long brown hair and she has a very good texture of skin. Proserpina is the daughter of Ceres. Proserpina gets her beauty from her mother. Her mother loved her to death and always wanted to keep an eye on her because she grew up to be very beautiful. She was always happy and joyful. But when she got kidnap she wasn’t feeling so happy. She screamed and cried for her mother’s help but unfortunately her mother could not hear her. She could not hear her because she was too far from her. Proserpina was terrified. She had no idea this was going to happen. She felt bad because she knew that her mother had warned her about things that could happen.

    “Woman Hollering Creek” is a story that tells the unfortunate tale of domestic abuse that many women face today. Readers get a first hand look at the mindset behind a woman facing serious domestic abuse. While many may argue that the author, Sandra Cisneros, portrayed Cleofilas as weak or timid, it is clearly shown that she is incredibly strong in her given situation. It is revealed in the final section of the story that Cleofilas was facing horrific abuse by her husband, possibly for a long period of time.
