For this experiment, there will be an optimal point for each factor. I believe that the optimal temperature for the enzyme sucrase will be 37°C because that is the point where the temperature increases the rate of reaction to its greatest point without denaturing it. For the pH test, I think that the optimal pH for sucrase will be the pH of 7 because it is neutral so it won’t affect the charge in a negative or positive way. For the denaturation test, I think that the optimal treatment for the enzyme is when both the enzyme and substrate are untreated. For the substrate concentration test, I think that the optimal concentration is 100% because the more the substrate, the faster the enzyme can bind to it.…

There are 1 billion children living in poverty (1 in 2 children in the world), 40 million live without adequate shelter, 400 million have no access to safe water. Every second 4 people die from hunger; around 27-28 percent of all children in developing countries are estimated to be underweight or stunted. Even though in 2008, according to UN, the majority of the world population is living in the urban, people are still suffering from poverty and hunger, even malnutrition. The poverty issue is getting more serious than ever, we have to do something to end it. To end poverty, environmental sustainability is the largest barrier, because everyone depends on natural resources for one’s live hood; basically all the natural resources are somehow vital. Lack of natural resources can also affect the sustainability of the country’s society. Climate change, in my opinion, is the most and critical issue. Pollution problem is one of the major environmental problems we have to face, because pollution will lead climate changes, for example, global warming. So if we are serious about preventing the world from climate change, we have to deal with the pollution issue all over the world first.…

The more our country develops, the more our life conditions need to be improved. However, the environmental problem is so serious that it causes too much damage for our life, not only in many years ago but also nowadays. Have you ever heard about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch yet? It is twice the size of Texas and floating somewhere between San Francisco and Hawaii. It also has 80% plastic and weighs in at 3.5 million tons. Many attempts have been made to clean them but it seems to be useless. Today, as our global population expands, so too does the amount of trash we produce, the amount of carbon dioxide we exhale and also the temperature of our global. If we continue this way, we will not be able to imagine how terrible all the damages may bring to our lives in the future. Therefore, our government, especially the local level should care more about the environmental problem and global warming and have more solutions as soon as possible.…

First of all, people should switch to alternative forms of power, such as wind power or solar energy. Secondly, the use of nuclear power should be banned. Thirdly, we should start to recycle. It’s the art of turning waste into new products. Also the number of harmful plants should be reduced because they pollute the air and water greatly.
