Provident living is very necessary in order to live a happy and prosperous life. We have to be self-reliant and be able to meet our present needs, as well as save something for the future. This is the objective of the provident living. My provident living at this point is to achieve my career goals. As a Senior student, I have many career goals that I need to fulfill in order to have a provident living.
Section 1
My provident goal is to find a school for my graduate studies. I am graduating this semester and I need to look for graduate schools so I can pursue my graduate studies. I am an accounting major student and I need to finish my graduate school so I can sit for my CPA exam. I have already been accepted at some graduate schools but I have decided not to go for any of those schools. I really need to look for schools that has the best fit for me. I have already been getting late for applying to graduate schools. Therefore, my goal is to start becoming pro-active and start researching for graduate schools. I need to look for graduate schools that fits the program I intend to study and is still affordable to me. To be specific, my provident living goal is to find the best graduate school in the best area possible where I can get maximum scholarship.

Therefore, the main point of me looking for graduate school is to be able to finish the graduate program and become eligible to take the CPA exam.
A graduate degree would certainly benefit me in finding a full time job and increase my prospects of getting a better job. Therefore, it would result in providing financial support and also help my family. As a son, I have a responsibility towards my parents to take care of them. I am responsible for each and every needs of my family and I need to do everything to support them. Therefore, a goal to look for graduate schools would eventually lead me to help my family and better our
lives.
Section 3
The plan of looking for graduate schools is not a very difficult task but time plays a great role to achieve plans like this. I plan on spending a good deal of time to research the schools. I also plan on networking with the BYUI Alumni’s that are going to the graduate schools. I also plan on calling on those schools and getting more detailed information on the programs. However, there might be some difficulties to achieve my plans. I work two jobs and I am also going to school full time. Time might be a very challenging problem that would not allow me to complete my provident living goal of looking for grad schools. However, I have made a commitment and I will do my very best that I complete my goal and achieve my career goals.
Section 4
I have mentioned in my plan earlier about my first provident living goal this semester. My plan includes searching for and finding a graduate school for my graduate studies. This goal would enable me to take a step forward to securing my future and becoming self-reliant. I have worked this past two weeks on my provident living goal and the report is shown below.
I am an accounting major student with a high GPA. However, I have a limited funding to study in Graduate School because my parents cannot afford to pay the expensive tuition fees. Therefore, I have spent the past couple of weeks researching for schools that could provide me the maximum funding opportunities. I have made phone calls and emails to communicate with the schools and check my eligibility for funding. In the meantime, I have also been praying to the Lord every morning to show me the right path and give me signs of where I should go for my graduate schools. With our Heavenly Father’s will, I have chosen some schools and I have already started collecting my application materials. I have asked my teachers to write recommendation letters for me. I have also started writing the application essays to describe myself to the best. I am pretty confident that God will find a way out for me and provide me with the right direction. My prayers and my testimony with God will guide me to work on my provident living and get some fruitful results.
I have also been able to do some great things during the process of completing my provident living goals. As I have been researching schools, I have been talking to many BYU-Idaho alumni across the country and I enjoyed talking to those great LDS lads. My testimony has been stronger after talking to them and I am very sure that God will take care of us no matter we are in Rexburg or anywhere else. However, we as his sons have to keep faith in him and keep the commandments and do the usual things that he wants us to do.
My provident living goal has been very fruitful so far and I hope to continue to plan and execute it successfully throughout the semester.
