Gabriel Conroy and J. Alfred Prufrock share similarities that are very much alike when it comes to their self confidence, they are always thinking of what other people will think of them. Gabriel Conroy in The Dead does not feel comfortable around women without thinking he’ll make a mistake or fail. Prufrock’s love song, he is concerned of what people will think of him and how he will not attract women. The similarities they share is social awkwardness, lack of self confidence and uncomfortable.
