Assignment Week 1
Testing a Theory A young mother you do try things to get your house to run as smooth as possible. I was trying to look for ways to get my four year old daughter to know what her chores are, how I was going to reward her for doing them with or without being told and ways to punish her if she didn’t do her chores at all even after I had asked her to do them. Trying to get my daughter to do her chores was one less thing I had to do and it was her way of helping around the house.
The way I started my process was to figure out what types of chores a four year old could handle and those where to pick up toys, dirty clothes and even brushing her teeth and hair. Some of the research that I have done was to look through parenting magazines and searching for ways to get a four year old to do chores. I had taken notes, consider other parents opinions and even wrote down how my parents taught me. After doing my research I had to test out different ways to see what would be the best way for my daughter to learn and keep track if she did her chores. I had to teach her that she would get rewarded if she did her chores with or without be told and what would happen if she refused to do her chores.
I think the research method that I had used was experimental research. The reason I think this is the method that I used is because I had to test each way to find out which way would work best with my daughter. I also had to test out different rewards and punishments to see what would work. If I had another opportunity to do something different, I don’t think that I would change anything about how I did my research for this
