How would you explain the analysis of variance, assuming that your audience has not had a statistics class before? When one does a study of data, generally this implies an evaluation of the "mean" or average of that data. .i.e. What is the average time it takes a 5th grader to complete his final math exam?…
The research study measured whether music therapy along side with visual imagery would decrease chemotherapy-induced anxiety and nausea-vomiting in patients going through chemotherapy. Researchers Karagozoglu, Tekayasar and Yilmaz (2013) sampled forty participants in the study, participants were provided with a document where they dispelled personal information, the Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, a visual scale and a form to evaluation for nausea and vomiting (Karagozoglu, Tekyasar, and Yilmaz, 2013). The researchers used the same participants throughout the entire study. The results were significant which supported the hypothesis that music therapy along with visual imagery can cause a decrease chemotherapy-induced anxiety and nausea vomiting in chemotherapy patients. The study can support the notion that visual imagery can result in a form of relieving pain or stress.…

This way, children (young adults) can be taught how to drink socially and responsibly from a young age, so alcohol isn't such a mystery and there would be less attraction or desire to being able to drink when they turn 21 with there friends. Children need to be taught how to drink responsibly by there parents, and not by some irresponsible friends. And most parents wouldn’t have to worry about criminal charges or D.U.I.’s because they chose to teach there children about drinking responsibly when they where…

In the United States, there is a certain legal age that states the time in which individuals are allowed to drink or purchase alcohol. Even though you may not agree with most of the rules that the federal government has set in place, this is one rule that I am definitely in favor for. They have placed the legal age limit at 21 for all alcoholic beverages. It does not matter what state you are in; the drinking law is the same for all 50 states in the United States of America (Cost of Underage Drinking). Sadly, sometimes these laws are broken. Even with these laws in place, the alcoholic consumption by our youth still becomes an issue in the United States. After doing research I have come to find out that statistics show that at least eleven million teenagers are still underage drinkers, with about half of them being binge drinkers, meaning they usually have more than 5 drinks per occasion (Flewelling) . In my opinion I believe that America needs to have a change in culture and beliefs towards underage drinking and make it a main…

To sum up, by making alcohol unauthorized for consumption, all of these facts will come into action and make society a better place. As long as alcohol is legal, it may continue to cause terrible physical symptoms toward numerous people. First of all, alcohol can cause various physical symptoms on the…
There are those out there in today’s society who believe that today’s alcohol policy that is imposed on our youth here in America should be focused more so on the fact that alcohol consumption with the youth of today is going to happen at some point eventually. Instead, we ought to be trying to find ways to reduce the harm that our nation’s youth face from the use of alcohol; rather than trying to force the pipe dream of trying to keep today’s youth from ever drinking in the first place. A good example to this idea can be found from many other countries that have gone ahead and put into place different policies to promote safer consumption…
Secondly, strict law can be mentioned as another suggested solution of underage drinking. Governments have to make strict law and ban buying and selling drinking especially among teenagers, so when there are instructions on getting alcohol, they already remember the punishment that get it from broken law. Governments should be careful with teens requirements and save their future by the ability to obey all the laws that protect them from the hazardous outcomes of drinking offences.…
The public cost of alcohol-induced incidents is estimated at 114.3 billion dollars (Reference: www.duifoundation.org/support/financial). If we could use this money to prevent these tragic incidents, imagine the lives that could be saved and the pain that could be prevented. Imagine the future doctors, lawyers, presidents that could have been but were never given the chance because they lost their lives due to an alcohol related incident. What I’m proposing is that we stop allowing any person to drive under the influence of alcohol by creating new laws and programs to greatly decrease the possibility of anyone being able to consume alcohol and drive a vehicle.…
Young people are hospitalised everyday due to excessive drinking and its consequences. This leads to hospitals being choked up, police are constantly breaking up fights and traffic is gridlocked from drink-driving accidents. There just isn't any room for this behaviour in society.…
Even though raising the age to buy alcohol to 21 helped decrease the problem, I don’t believe it did enough. Over the past couple of decades, U.S. governments have passed hundreds of new laws dedicated to reduce drunken driving deaths. The Zero Tolerance policies set very low blood alcohol contents for drivers. This has proven to be somewhat…
In conclusion, it would be in our nations best health interest to make alcohol an illegal substance. This is because people under the influence of this drug have an increased likeliness of undertaking risky behaviours, alcohol places a burden on the health system and this substance causes life long damage that can not be reversed. Alcohol is a lethal drug that is responsible for thousands of deaths each year that possesses nothing but negative health repercussions. Therefore, Alcohol should be…
