Psy 270 Week 4 Case Study Jeffrey Archer
: Archer was placed in the program on October 11, 2016. Since being placed in the program, Archer has demonstrated difficulty complying with staff directives and program expectations. This review period Archer received 13 sanctions for not following instructions (11/7, 11/1, 10/26, 10/25, 10/14, 10/13), disrespect towards staff (11/1), drawing in class (10/26), profanity (10/25), horseplay (10/20), and inappropriate comment (10/19, 10/13). In addition, Archer received two early bed restrictions and a 24 hour room restriction this review period.

Archer received an early bed restriction on October 26, 2016, after being overheard by staff making an inappropriate comment towards staff after being redirected. On October 27, 2016, Archer received room restriction for destruction of property after it was determined that Archer purposely ripped the

Pamela Thomas, Archer’s guardian has communicated with this writer without concern and attended all required meetings throughout this review period. Mrs. Thomas expressed her disappointment in Archer’s recent behavior concerns and is hopeful that the opportunity he has in the Post D program. Archer’s Individual Service Plan (ISP) was completed on November 4, 2016.

Family/Clinical Progress: Archer has begun to participate in individual therapy with Ms Carroll. Ms. Carroll reports that individual sessions have focused on service planning, developing treatment goals, and consequential thinking. Ms. Carroll expressed that Archer is engaged during sessions and cooperative. Family sessions are expected to begin on November 18, 2016.
Archer is currently receiving medication management services with Dr. Vasu. He is prescribed Concerta, Clonidine, and Celexa for management of ADHD, insomnia and depression ( don’t know if I should include this since we should be switching after the November 10 appointment. In MRT, Archer passed Steps 1-2, and is currently working on Step 3. Archer is expected to begin Staying Quit

    On June 2, 2016, while serving room restriction for another offense, Rashad made direct threats to harm staff and was observed attempting to provoke other residents to physically attack that staff member. Rashad has flat out refused staff directives in his most recent incident, which resulted in a 48 hour room restriction. On June 23, 2016, Rashad again made direct threats towards staff and became verbally aggressive towards staff when redirected.     On 4/29/17 Isaac completed his clinical action plan (CAP), formerly known as a contract, for his threatening a non-gang affiliated peer, who's known for using gang communication. Since that contract there has 't been another incident between the two.
