For example, he states that spiritualists will hire someone to go to their victim’s house and deliver a bouquet of flowers. Often times, they will then ask to go into the bathroom, or another silly gimmick to get inside of the house. Once they are in, they will steal anything that they believe has sentimental value but not monetary value (as that would risk greater chances to be reported to the police). A strong piece of evidence is Houdini’s test code. He, after exposing many psychics, strongly believed that if psychics had real powers to communicate with the dead, a psychic would be able to retrieve codes that he had given many of his acquaintances and loved ones, including his wife. Although all of the code-receivers attempted to get Houdini’s special code from any psychic they met, none of the psychics who supposedly communicated with Houdini could retrieve a single code. From all of this, the scientific community holds that psychic powers fall under pseudoscience, and that using the accumulated evidence against psychics, the truth should be displayed if a psychic is found
