I specifically would like to work in a clinical setting, such as; Parkland Hospital, or Texas Health Presbyterian. There are many hospitals within the DFW metroplex that offer occupational opportunities to psychologist, for reasons such as; aiding war veterans, helping kids with disabilities, study patients with mental conditionals, etc. I would ideally like to stay in the Dallas metroplex, but I might have to move depending on what fits best with my family. Regardless of where I choose to live, there will be a growing need for psychologist. This growth is contributed by people continuing to look for psychologist for counseling whether for family problems or dealing with mental changes. In order to become a psychologist I would have to attain a Doctor of Psychology Degree (Psy. D), complete at least 1 year of internship, and obtain a license of practice. After I become psychologist, I get to help people in need everyday and find patterns between different conditions. Finding consistencies and patterns is the most challenging part of the job, because it takes a numerous amount of observation and research to find a small match. These patterns can result in finding solutions that can help a great amount of people in the world. My enjoyment and drive to help people is what makes me the best candidate for this
