Psychology Training Plan

As your head coach having always been a competitor in soccer, I possess the mentorship attributes in providing you the necessary skills to reach success. Although you may find imbalanced goals between me as a coach and you as an athlete, I am confident that as a team, we will center hold the comradeship in having a fortunate season. In spite of achieving our goals and overcoming adversity, we must train as a team and support one another in order to achieve uncommon results. Together Everyone Achieves More! For the upcoming season, our team will consist of one head coach and two assistant coaches. As of now, our team has a total of 17 athletes (male), ranging between the ages of 15 and 18. Be sure to
Taking the skills discussed herein and employing them in a practical nature is the major emphasis behind it all. We sense that this psychological skills training program can and will help increase the athlete’s mental preparation and performance. We anticipate on only having four PST sessions. The motivation behind these four sessions is to undertake two essential tasks. Foremost, the sport psychologist will explain the strengths and boundaries of our PST program. Additionally, they explain the difference between clinical and educational sport psychology interventions. Coaches are usually the ones who work closely with the athletes and can spend an extent amount of time evaluating them. The coaches provide valuable insights into the mental skills. Furthermore, they provide information as to the psychological strengths necessary for optimal performance on the field. Following, the sport psychologist will be able to construct a Psychological Skills Training Program that will specifically target the needs of the team and each and every player individually. In this program, there are bi-weekly team PST and team group meetings. On the last Friday of each month, you will have a counseling session with all coaches to discuss your sustainment’s and improvements.
Practices will take place at the Sportspark on field 3 or field 4, depending on availability. You will know the exact location prior to the day of practice. They will be required to practice using the skills that they have been shown in the PST program. Each practice will usually be for a period of two hours.
