Good morning to one and all. This is Nikhil from mechanical branch. I am here to give a small presentation on “Psychopath”.
Now, we've all heard the word thrown out here: “Psychopath”. Let me tell you who exactly is a psychopath. A psychopath is a person with serious mental illness, causing violent behavior. It can be a man or a woman. In fact Adolf Hitler has been called a “Neurotic Psychopath” (sensitive/anxious psychopath) by people of his times. The psychopath can appear normal or even charming. So psychopathy is among the most difficult disorders to spot.
A person cannot be identified as a psychopath unless he performs abnormal activities or antisocial activities like mass killing, causing psychological trouble to people etc. But there is a test called “Psychopath Test” which is used to detect psychopathy to some extent. This test contains a set of 20 questions the answers to which is a simple “yes or no”. The level of psychopathy is scaled by the score obtained in the psychopath test. The highest possible score is 40, but anyone who gets a score of 30 or higher than that is considered a psychopath.
Well, now we have come to know who is a psychopath and how to detect a psychopath. But what does a psychopath exactly do??? What are his/her characteristics??? One of the most striking peculiarities of psychopaths is that they lack empathy (ability to understand feelings of other people). They lie and manipulate yet have no regrets – in fact, they don’t feel particularly deeply about anything at all. But psychopaths often cover up their deficiencies with a ready and engaging charm, so it can take time to realize what you are dealing with. Psychopaths often commit a wide variety of crimes. They might even have many short term martial relationships.
Now the question that arises is why or how do normal people turn into psychopaths??? People with brain damage in certain areas
