Marsha is a 39 years old African-American female single parent presenting for a psychosocial assessment in experiencing difficulties concentrating at work and taking the train after being physically assaulted three months ago. During the assessment Marsha reported that she is having a difficult time remembering the detail of the incident however since the incident she is unable to keep the incident of the attack out of her mind. At night she has terrible dreams of being physically assaulted and often wake up screaming.
