INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate or estimate the roles and responsibilities in relation to the teaching cycle.
Firstly I will like to define the important of teachers. Teachers give children the tools by which they can become authors of their own life story and builders of a better world. According to Ann Gravells 5th Edition said “It can be very rewarding when you see your student’s achievement and success, which is direct result of your contribution. According to Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) there are some things the teachers need to take into consideration. Health and Safety is very important at work which is awareness of Hazardous and safety of learners within the working environment. Maintaining knowledge of current legislations with regard to the Equality Act 2006, The Protection of Children Act 2004, as a teacher it’s my role and responsibility to carry out certain risk assessment to let them know where is fire exist, and different type of hazard in the teaching environment e.g. How to handle knives, hot oven, and meat slicers. Etc. Also basic food Hygiene can be train due to government regulation (2006) Above all complying with the rules of the organisation you are part of as well as legislation and codes of practice is very important and should be my first priority

What are Equality and Diversity?
According to Ann Gravells (2012) 2nd Edition describes equality under The Equality Act 2010 Equality is about treating people with respect and dignity, and providing everyone with opportunities to fulfil their potential. As a teacher I need to treat people equal not to discriminate against any sex, age, gender, ability, or people with disabilities, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy, religion or belief. For example I cannot say because Rose is Christian, I don’t want her in my class room. . According to children Act 2004 everybody must treating equal "The Equality Act 2010 is the law which bans unfair treatment and helps achieve equal opportunities in the workplace and in wider society.
Diversity can be described as a valuing and respecting the differences in learners. Regardless s of their age, ability or circumstance, in other to give learners equally I will make sure I did not have favourite learners or give some attention than others. Maslow’s (1954) As a teacher it’s important to make sure equally and diversity is being promoted by involving a learners in respect of their abilities and their needs, treat them equal and fairly, without direct or indirectly excluded during lesson. Calling the learners by their names, again positive culture of equality of opportunity will be promoted. According to (David A. Kolb, 1984) “Learning is the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience”. As a teacher evolutions of learner’s need should carry out of the first day of the course, by ensuring the student are on the right track program, arranging suitable initial assessment or carrying out one-one interview,. According to Moslow (1954) Hierarchy of needs theories who suggest that evaluating the different needs, values, drives and priorities of people is incredibly valuable in cross-cultural communications.

Moreover A research conducted by the Lifelong Learning (NRDC) shows that ‘identifying needs’ is the first step in the training cycle which is made up of 6 activities, namely: Identifying Needs & Planning Evaluate Facilitating Designing Assessing
As a teacher identifying the needs of the learners are very important by ascertaining individual needs, learning styles and goals. I also need to make sure program are offered at times when everyone can attend, especially when you are teaching new recipe on food.
Planning is very important it gives me the ability to meet the needs of all learning style, as a teacher it’s my responsibilities to choose a suitable method and the subject that will motivate learner’s self-esteem, so that they will not get bored or tired. Wallace, S (2011)
In other to facilitating the student I should be aware that everyone has different experiences, interests, skill and knowledge which might affect their ability to develop and learn quickly. It’s my responsibility to introduce group discussions and various activities where everyone can participate. As a teacher, there are a number of qualities that I need to demonstrate in order to effectively reach and motivate my students. Therefore, during the lesson preparation I need to consider what I am going to teach and how I am going to teach it. Here is a list of essential qualities that I have identified:- I must have good knowledge about the subject I’m teaching
I must be positive –and also inspires confidence in my learners I must be organized and make sure I plain in advance get all my note ready and orderly delivery. I must be passionate – it’s contagious!

2:1 Moreover teachers have large influence in the class for maximising teaching effectiveness and influencing a positive learning environment, but of course there should be limits to how far someone can go when performing their duties. There are boundaries and limitations. Because boundaries are all about knowing your own limits and know what your professional role involves, I must be aware of my own limitations and boundaries. 2:2 As a teacher I need to know when to referral a student if sensitive incident happen I must refer the learner to a specialist instead of dealing with a problem in person. For example Due to my personal experience I have come across an epilepsy student during my food training course. During the food preparation suddenly the lady was started rolling on the floor with white foaming silvery from her mouth, this was freighted and the whole class was stand still for half an hour. The school authority was called and she was referral to appropriate specialist. After the incidence the teacher realized that she is not fit enough to cook for long time or to operate on kitchen equipment without supervision. I need to discuss her to the authority that qualify to teach her and also to find out what is available internally within the organisation or whom do I need to refer her to e.g. health centre’s
2:3 I need to maintaining professional relationships under the institute for learning’s(IFL) Code of professional Practice (2008) which require the teachers to maintain appropriate standards and fulfil our responsibility to learners, institution and colleagues. For examples you don’t talk your colleague down in front of the learners, again I need to keep myself up to date in both teaching and my field area.. 3:1 In other to establish and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment the authority needs to provide students with an environment that is conducive to learning. If a student feels uncomfortable, unsafe, or not respected, then their chances of success in that class dramatically decrease. As a teacher safe environment is important because it reflects the expectations of the teacher of how the room should be used. I believe that Well-organized classroom can stimulate learning, and will also help students to be self-motivated; disciplined and responsible According to Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) Fire exist, window and adequate ventilation, this can make learners feel safe and more willing to work.
3:2 Promoting appropriate behaviour and respect for other can begin with good example and the ground rules that I lay down for learners on the first day of induction. According to Ann Gravells 2nd Editions said being a professional involves acting with integrity, behaving in the correct manner for your role, and respecting others as you would wish them to respect. CONCLUSION
In conclusion I belief that teachers are the critical guardians of the intellectual life of the nation, It can be very rewarding when you see your student’s achievement and success, which is direct result of your contribution.
