COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is an introduction to public speaking and oral communication processes, with particular emphasis on issues related to Asian American Studies and Asian American communities. The scholarship associated with communication is dynamic and complex. Oral communication is rich in historical perspectives and research. In addition to basic skills, students will be introduced to Asian Americans who have used oral communication to address issues related to, including (but not limited to) race,
