Public Transportation
Public Transportation there are many kinds of commuters on public transportation: there are bus commuters, train commuters, and plain commuters. The first kind of commuter are people who ride the bus. At some point in their lifetime, everyone has had to ride the bus. Children ride the bus to school on a daily basis all the way through adolescence. People who live in large cities, ride the bus just about everywhere they need to go. Local buses bring in large amounts of money for their area and can be very helpful to the people of the town. The second facet of transportation would be the train system. Among the many classifications of train systems, there are subways, trolleys, and rail ways. Subways are utilized by people who live in large areas. Trolleys are used by people who live in smaller areas, like suburbs. Rail ways, broken up in rail roads, are used all across the nation. Rail road cars, drive on train tracks, and have become so popular that collectible toys have even been made after them. Rail ways help transport many of our nation's most important goods, and without them we would be facing serious problems. The third type of transportation are airplanes. Air planes are mostly used for long distance traveling. Air planes are the most expensive of the three types, but they are still used very often. The wealthy often use air planes as their main way of traveling. Air planes can be seen by some as dangerous and very risky because of their bad history in the past. Air planes are high flying machines that carry people from city to city and sometimes even across countries. Air planes are used by people in politics, the millitary, and even regular citizens. Air planes are very important to our country and help make our lives much easier. As you can see, there are many diffrent types of transportation, but they all help make our lives easier in their own special

Nationally 63% of transit riders are less affluent than the general population (Pulcher 1). Bus ridership is comprised of 74% low income groups versus a mere 34% on commuter rails (Pulcher 67). Pulcher wrote in a 2001 paper that; “Overall, the poor, racial and ethnic minorities, and the elderly have a much lower mobility rates than the general population. Moreover the poor … are far more likely to use transit than other groups,” (1). In addition to these groups are disabled citizens who may lack the ability or desire to operate motor vehicles. Access to lifeline services such as employment, education, shopping and social services for these vulnerable groups is dependent on reliable public transportation (Taylor 1). Because of this reliance, if transportation is made difficult or impossible for these individuals they are effectively cut off from society. According to U.S. Census data, 17.6% of the population of Sacramento County live at or below the property line, this equates to nearly 250,000 individuals who rely on public transit for their livelihoods. Sacramento Regional Transit (RT) provides much needed transportation infrastructure, however, poor planning, lack of maintenance and an attempt to appeal to choice riders may diminish the value and accessibility for citizens who benefit most from the RT…

The human body is a unique and fascinating entity. There is not much notice taken of the features the human body is capable of. The brain is necessary to perform day-to-day actions, such as the ability to speak, and see amongst us. This brain is made up of simple mater (Pia mater, Arachnoid mater, Dura mater) and the cranial surface to protect the brain. We live our daily lives without acknowledging the importance of this organ, the brain, unless you’re a medical student of course! Despite that people go on with their daily activities using the human natural senses. Looking at the world through the eyes, watching for any danger around us; ears for hearing the sounds detecting something that may call for danger, the nose to smell the natural environment, touching and feeling surfaces to become familiar with the surrounding, and to taste the different foods that provide nourishment to stay healthy. All these senses are essential for survival, although what happens if one or more of these senses are taken away? Surviving the everyday world becomes just a little tougher and even impossible in other societies. The cranial nerves in the brain control these senses along with other bodily functions necessary to survive. There are 12 pairs of cranial nerves that emerge from the brain out of various foramina or fissures from the cranium. Each cranial nerve contains sensory or motor fibers or a combination of these fivers to carry impulses from the brain to the various locations allowing the individual to perform normal human functions.…

Transportation plays an essential role to the success of many businesses and organizations. Without efficient transportation, many supplies and raw materials will not be brought from one place to another. It has been reported that humans have always needed to get around from place to place, making the act of walking a limitation on the distance traveled and the things they could carry. Consider the innovations that help humans travel around and transport cargo, including automobiles, ships, and airplanes (2006). Through these innovations, humans were able to effectively and efficiently move from one place to the next with the convenience of bringing luggage and cargo.…

With this, the idea of liberty began to grow, attacking the ruling classes who remained selfish and in power . Thus, with this in mind, Shelley uses ‘England in 1819’ and several other political poems to directly express his views on politics and morality during the period.…
