Materials and Methods: A total of 60 patients from Department of Conservative dentistry & Endodontics, Peoples Dental College, Bhopal, indicated for pulp space therapy were part of this study. Patients were randomly divided into 2 groups. Group 1- 30 patients were treated with MTAD. Group 2- 30 Patients were treated with 3% NaOCl and EDTA.The teeth selected for the study were premolars. Group 2- 30 Patients were treated with 3% NaOCl and EDTA Inclusion criteria: Co-operative patients who were indicated for pulp space therapy without any systemic and mental problems and were between 18-40 years of age, with well formed root apex, with no history of medication (which may affect pain perception; inflammation and infection) were included as a part of this study. Exclusion criteria: Pregnant, Immunocompromised and mentally challenged patients, acute exacerbation of chronic cases and patients who used medication for pain, allergy for medication to be used (NaOCl, MTAD), patients below 18 year and above 40 year of age, un co-operative patients and re-treatment cases were excluded from this study.
