Pumpkin Island Chapter 1: Screams explode around me. As the world fades away. I catch glimpses of yellow and red streaking past me. My instincts are telling me to stay still, but, the catastrophe occurring around me is begging me to run. Before I determine my next action, a fiery sensation takes me aback. I look down as my ripple of black slowly climbs up my leg. As I try to run, I lose my balance and end up landing on something sharp. Realizing I had just impaled myself with a spear I was holding. Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait Come Back!” The cruise ship fades from the distance, leaving me stranded. Also, the temperature here is unbearable. Extremely hot and as a result, Sophie is insanely smart and provides us with thorough research on the weather in Australia. The northern part of Australia can vary in degrees, ranging from 60 to 104. There are two different weather conditions, dry and wet tropical conditions. Dry tropical conditions are from May to October and gain no more than 2.4 inches of rain, and there could be a high of 104 degrees. Furthermore, wet tropical conditions are from November to April. The temperatures are 64 degrees and hotter, with at least 2.4 inches of rain. After Sophie’s dull and monotone outline, she can be interesting, especially during group conversations. Every day after a small dinner, we all gather and talk about our past lives. I miss my family; I miss the old life; I miss my dogs, and most of all, I miss my girlfriend.
