 Meanwhile ,in speaking, we can make a pause , stop ,change our tone of voice.

The full stop is the most important punctuation mark. Its omission , when its use is undeniably required,
 Will confuse the reader
 Ideas will be mixed up and
 The meaning intended by the writer will not be probably communicated to the reader.

COMMA
A comma is a punctuation mark that indicates a pause is needed in a sentence.
 It separates the structural elements of sentences into manageable segments.
 Commas are both an aid to sense and to ease of reading.
 They are something used in long sentences to break up words into sections where the sense allows a pause to be taken. It is better underuse them than to overuse them.

SEMI COLON
The semicolon marks off one part of sentence from another much more sharply than a comma
 It is particularly useful to divide a long sentence into self-contained section.
 It is used to introduce a sharp contrast between complete statements which are closely related.
 For example:
He knew what he should do ; yet he couldn’t do it.

COLON
The colon is used :
 To introduce a list which follows immediately
Example: He studied the use of the following punctuation marks : full stops , semicolon, colons , question mark etc.
 To introduce examples which illustrate or expand an idea and which follow immediately. He counted his treasures: gold , silver, diamonds, and books.

To divide two sharply contrasting statements.
Speech is silver : silence is golden.

After Stalin died in 1953, nikita Khrushchev became the dominant Soviet leader. In 1956, the shrewd, tough Khrushchev denounced Stalin for jailing and killing loyal soviet citizens. His speech signaled the start of a policy called destalinization, or purging the country of Stalin’s memory. Workers destroyed monuments of the former dictator. Khrushchev called for peaceful competition with capitalist states. But this new soviet Outlook did not change life in satellite countiries. A popular and liberal Hungarian Communist leader named Imre Nagy formed a new goverment. Nagy promised free elections and in the end he failed the soviets prevailed. A pro- Soviet government was installed and Nagy was eventually executed. Jruschev lost prestige in his country as a result of the Cuban missile crises in 1962. In 1964 he was replaced by Leonid Brezhnev, he quickly adopted repressive domestic policies. Brezhnev clamored down on those who dared to protest his policies. Brezhnev made clear that he would not tolerate dissent in Eastern Europe either. His policy was put to the test in early 1968. At that time Czech Communist leader Alexander Dubcek loosened control son censorship to offer his country socialism with a human face. This period of reform became known as Prague Spring; however, it did not survive the summer. On august 20, armed forces from the Warsaw pact nations invaded Czechoslovakia. Brezhnev justified this invasion by clamming the soviet union had the right to prevent its satellites from rejecting communism, a policy known as the Brezhnev doctrine. While many satellite countries resisted Communist rule, China was committed to communism. Mao and Stalin even signed a 30-year treaty of friendship in 1950. Their sprit of cooperation ran out before the treaty did. The soviets assumed Chinese would follow soviet leadership and world affairs, but they began to spread their own Brand of communism in Africa and other parts of Asia. In 1959, Khrushchev…

Although modern evolutionists are thought to be divided on the issues surrounding evolutionary theory, a close look at the evidence suggests that both the gradualist school of thought and the punctuationist school of thought share many characteristics in common. This is especially true when evaluating their beliefs about the fossil record, disagreement with the theory of saltation, and the misinterpretation of the word "rapid" in terms of punctuationist theory. Although this may be the case, the two theories do diverge on one important point, the notion of periods of stasis, but when taken as a whole, the evidence suggests that punctuationism is not as radical as it has been hyped up to be.…

Should Capital Punishment be prohibited by the law? The purpose of the execution of criminals is to condemn, deter crime and suppress political dissent. Most countries practice Capital Punishment for those who commit murder, drug trafficking, treason (act of a traitor), espionage (practice of spying) or are as part of military justice. Some countries impose Capital Punishment on sexual crimes. Specifically speaking, rape, adultery, sodomy or incest. Or in other cases, religious crimes like apostasy. China takes into account serious cases of corruption too. Offences during wartime such as cowardice, desertion, insubordination (disobeying of authority) or mutiny (group rebellion) may also warrant a death sentence.…

    Capital Punisment

My first decision for supporting the death penalty is it's correlation to the crime rate in a country where it exists. the United Nations currently has one hundred and eighty nine countries in its membership and among them one hundred and eight is already joining the list of the countries to abolish capital punishment and the United States is not part of it and we should not be. Is banning capital punishment good for a country? Let's take a look at the United Kingdom, our cousin over the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. Unlike us, the United Kingdom has already abolished the death penalty and how is the statue of crime rate in their country? According to the Machin and Meghir's essay, in the United Kingdom their crime rate had increased rapidly through the 1970s and the 1980s, the increase is far greater than the rest of the Europe and unexpected. From another essay "Crime of almost every variety has increased enormously over the past 80 years in England" (Wolpin, 815). A country's reputation usually comes from its wealth, law system and criminal rates. In a country where the crime rate is high, it usually means its law system is poorly constructed, when the law system is not functioning well, the commerce of its country will be affected. Capital punishment, Crime rate, law system and one country's health is all connected, like a food chain. Capital punishment is capable of deterrent criminal action and it can lower the crime rate, so it is in our best interests not to abolishes it but, keep it.…
